Responsibilities
- Post payments accurately in the practice management system
- Reconcile payment batches with deposit logs and payment summaries
- Review and resolve ERA kick-outs; reconcile ERA batches to EFTs
- Retrieve missing EOBs from payer portals
- Ensure patient accounts are reconciled and balances display correctly
- Maintain ownership of assigned posting batches
- Research and correct transaction errors
Requirements
- 2+ years payment posting experience in US healthcare
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management and payer nuances
- Knowledge of healthcare billing acronyms and terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written communication and typing skills
- Experience with NextGen a plus
- Able to work independently and deliver accurate results
