- Pay range: $26 to $30 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate underwriting and onboarding document collection for merchant setup
- Build strong relationships with customers, banking partners, and vendors tied to Payment Operations
- Track project progress, report statuses, implementation dates, and flag issues early
- Partner with project managers to remove onboarding blockers and keep timelines moving
- Perform due diligence reviews on applications for accuracy and completeness
- Research and resolve merchant questions independently
- Complete merchant setup and configuration accurately, ensuring correct settings
- Maintain merchant files daily with clean, current documentation
- Process onboarding applications quickly and coordinate issue resolution with underwriting and partners
- Learn and apply the merchant application and underwriting process for credit card and ACH processors
- Lead resolution of setup or configuration problems, proactively preventing repeat issues
- Support additional operational duties as assigned by leadership
What You Need
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel matters here)
- Expert-level Excel skills (highly desired)
- Experience with project management frameworks
- Sharp attention to detail, investigative instincts, and strong analytical thinking
- Strong organization and time management, able to juggle high volumes of onboarding work
- Excellent written and verbal communication, client-facing and internal
- Comfortable working independently while keeping longer-term priorities in mind
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Payments industry experience (not required, but a major plus)
- Prior onboarding specialist experience, especially in insurance or merchant services
- Familiarity with JIRA and Salesforce
