Schedule
- Fully remote position within the United States
- Full time role in Loan Servicing and Collections
- Mix of weekday shifts with some evening and Saturday coverage required
- Phone and computer based work in a fast paced environment
What You’ll Do
- Contact borrowers on delinquent accounts to provide updates, collect payments, and set up realistic repayment plans
- Explain home retention options and alternatives to foreclosure in clear, empathetic language
- Gather and input borrower financial information accurately into servicing systems
- Communicate non home retention options when keeping the home is not possible or not the best fit
- Reach out to borrowers impacted by FEMA declared disasters and explain available assistance
- Follow up on prior promises to pay and repayment commitments
- Maintain full compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and other collection related regulations
- Follow investor, agency, and company guidelines on all collection and assistance activity
- Support administrative and clerical projects for the servicing team as needed
What You Need
- High school diploma
- Prior administrative experience
- Prior call center or phone based customer service experience
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information in common computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
- Basic math skills for handling payment amounts and cash management
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent customer service and a professional, steady attitude under stress
- Very strong communication skills, with the ability to speak with courtesy, empathy, and diplomacy across phone, email, and online channels
