What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, primarily by phone, with empathy and follow-through
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls for patient support, service recovery, scheduling, and care coordination
- Handle escalated, frustrated, or confused patient situations using service recovery protocols and escalate when needed
- Document interactions clearly and thoroughly in Zendesk and the EHR
- Act as a patient advocate and coordinate across teams to drive timely resolutions
- Identify recurring patient experience issues and share feedback with leadership
- Maintain strict confidentiality and protect patient information across all channels and systems
What You Need
- 5+ years in a high-touch, patient-facing role
- 2+ years using Zendesk (or comparable ticketing system)
- 2+ years using Athena (or comparable EHR)
- 2+ years using Google Workspace
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience handling escalated concerns or grievances with discretion and empathy
- Strong judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making
- Quiet, distraction-free home workspace and reliable high-speed internet
- Bilingual (Spanish or another language) is a plus
