This is a high-touch patient support role for someone who can stay calm under pressure, think fast, and communicate with real empathy. You’ll handle calls, escalations, scheduling-to-billing questions, and help tighten the patient experience inside a digital-first healthcare startup.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as first point of contact for patients, primarily via phone
- Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls for support, scheduling, care coordination, and service recovery
- De-escalate frustrated or confused patients using service recovery protocols
- Document interactions clearly in Zendesk and the EHR
- Advocate for patients and coordinate across internal teams to resolve issues
- Spot patterns and share patient experience improvement ideas with leadership
- Protect patient confidentiality across all systems and channels
- Operate with compassion, accountability, respect, integrity, and trust
What You Need
- 5+ years in a high-touch, patient-facing role
- 2+ years using Zendesk (or similar ticketing platform)
- 2+ years using Athena (or comparable EHR)
- 2+ years using Google Workspace (required)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Proven experience handling escalations/grievances with discretion and empathy
- Strong judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking
- Bilingual (Spanish or other language) is a plus
