What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary billing contact for patients and maintain clear communication throughout their journey
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits with clinical teams before telehealth appointments
- Help patients understand financial obligations and payment options
- Use Zendesk to resolve billing inquiries quickly and professionally
- Participate in audits to spot billing discrepancies and trends impacting patients and internal teams
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve patient experience and billing workflows
- Assist with verifying patient info, scheduling, and updating EHR records
- Manage intake steps like forms and payment collection
- Safeguard PHI and follow regulatory and organizational privacy guidelines
What You Need
- 2–5 years delivering best-in-class patient experience (healthcare or similar)
- 1–2 years billing experience (preferred)
- 2+ years using Zendesk
- 2+ years using Athena
- 2+ years using Google Workspace (required)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Reliable internet and a quiet home workspace
