What You’ll Do
• Serve as the primary contact for patient billing questions and concerns with professionalism and care
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits in collaboration with clinical teams before telehealth appointments
• Help patients understand financial responsibility, billing details, and payment options
• Resolve billing inquiries in Zendesk quickly and accurately
• Participate in audits to identify billing discrepancies and trends that affect patients and internal teams
• Support cross-functional improvements to billing workflows and patient experience
• Assist with patient verification, scheduling support, and EHR updates when needed
• Manage intake tasks like insurance and healthcare forms and collecting payments
• Protect PHI and stay compliant with organizational and regulatory privacy requirements
What You Need
• 2 to 5 years delivering a best-in-class patient or customer experience (healthcare preferred)
• 1 to 2 years of billing experience (preferred)
• 2 years of Zendesk experience
• 2 years of Athena experience
• 2 years of Google Workspace experience (required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a calm, patient-first tone
• Organized, detail-oriented approach and comfort handling sensitive billing conversations
