What You’ll Do
⦁ Serve as a primary contact for patients, delivering high-touch, professional communication throughout their care journey
⦁ Handle billing-related questions, insurance inquiries, and patient complaints with empathy and accuracy
⦁ Use Zendesk to resolve patient billing cases quickly and professionally
⦁ Verify insurance coverage and benefits before telehealth appointments in partnership with clinical teams
⦁ Help patients understand payment options and financial obligations
⦁ Assist with intake workflows, forms, collecting payments, and updating patient records in the EHR
⦁ Support appointment scheduling and patient information verification as needed
⦁ Participate in audits to spot billing discrepancies and trends that impact patients and internal teams
⦁ Contribute to cross-functional improvements that strengthen billing workflows and the overall patient experience
⦁ Protect patient privacy and PHI by following organizational and regulatory guidelines
What You Need
⦁ 2–5 years delivering best-in-class patient/customer experience in healthcare or a similar environment
⦁ 1–2 years of billing experience (preferred)
⦁ 2 years of Zendesk experience
⦁ 2 years of Athena experience
⦁ 2 years of Google Workspace experience (required)
⦁ Strong written and verbal communication, including de-escalation skills and patient-first tone
⦁ High attention to detail and comfort working in a startup environment where processes evolve
