What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient billing questions and cases
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits prior to telehealth appointments
- Explain patient financial responsibilities and payment options clearly
- Resolve billing inquiries and complaints using Zendesk with timely, professional documentation
- Assist with audits to identify billing discrepancies and trends impacting patients and teams
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve billing workflows and patient experience
- Help with intake tasks as needed, including appointment support, updating EHR, and collecting payments
- Follow privacy and safety standards, safeguarding protected health information (PHI)
What You Need
- 2–5 years providing a best-in-class patient or customer experience in healthcare or a similar environment
- 1–2 years of billing experience (preferred)
- 2 years of Zendesk experience
- 2 years of Athena experience
- 2 years of Google Workspace experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
