Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
- May require occasional overtime
- 6 weeks of paid, virtual on-the-job training
- Equipment pickup required at 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN
What You’ll Do
- Handle inbound calls to resolve patient billing concerns
- Review and verify account activity and payer explanations of benefits (EOBs)
- Educate patients on online payment and invoice options
- Route accounts for review and resolution as needed
- Provide accurate information to customers and third parties
- Process patient mail and maintain accurate documentation
- Represent Optum with professionalism and customer care
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of healthcare billing or medical insurance call center experience
- 1+ years working with EOBs
- Knowledge of CPT coding and claims processing
- Proficiency with Windows PC applications and ability to learn new systems
- Must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin and travel to Minneapolis to pick up equipment
Preferred
- 2+ years of medical insurance or billing experience
- Experience with Epic or other EMR systems
- Familiarity with multiple insurance carriers
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish)
