Schedule
- Fully remote (equipment provided)
- Start date: 2/16/26
- Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm Arizona Mountain Standard Time
- Candidates in Pacific and Mountain time zones prioritized
- Pay: $17–$18 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Request and obtain prescriptions and authorizations from medical offices and insurance companies for assigned patients
- Contact physicians, practice staff, payer reps, and patients daily to confirm scheduled services and ensure accurate documentation
- Send prescription and authorization requests for renewals and insurance changes
- Follow up with offices and insurers to confirm timely receipt and completion of requests
- Resolve questions related to Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN) and Participating Provider (PAR) needs
- Re-verify monthly patient eligibility for continued services
- Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics
- Ensure work meets internal and external compliance requirements
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years in a related administrative or customer service role (healthcare or medical office experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong basic math and accounting skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt to change, and maintain a sense of urgency
- Preferred: Associate’s degree in medical office management, medical insurance, or medical coding
- Preferred: insurance authorization or precertification experience, plus knowledge of home health, DME, or enteral nutrition products
- Preferred: medical billing and coding certification
