Schedule
• Full-time, remote within the U.S.
• Standard Monday–Friday workflow
• Requires secure home office, reliable internet, and current coding references
What You’ll Do
• Code Outpatient Surgeries and Observation (OBS) encounters across multiple specialties
• Calculate OP, OBS, and E/M levels using CorroHealth’s internal algorithms
• Apply ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes with full accuracy
• Identify critical care cases using acuity-based criteria
• Code ER-related surgical procedures to capture appropriate revenue
• Interpret and apply coding guidelines to ensure compliance
• Maintain productivity and accuracy benchmarks of 95 percent or higher
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education
• Follow AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding and all company compliance policies
• Protect PHI and maintain strict confidentiality
• Support additional departmental responsibilities as needed
What You Need
• Active certification through AAPC or AHIMA (no apprentice designations)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on professional outpatient coding experience
• Experience with EMRs, billing systems, and Microsoft Excel/Outlook
• Ability to interpret documentation and make precise coding decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable phone, internet connection, and up-to-date CPT/ICD-10-CM references
• Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and maintain organization
