What You’ll Do
- Set the tone, vision, and culture for the Medical Record Retrieval operations team, leading with accountability, compassion, and innovation
- Lead and develop a team of release-of-information specialists to hit quality, turnaround time, and profitability goals
- Partner with clients through calls and meetings to ensure services meet or exceed expectations and support new client implementations
- Standardize and optimize processes across regions, updating SOPs and driving consistency in service delivery
- Hire, coach, mentor, and performance-manage team members, including regular 1:1s and ongoing training
- Coordinate with domestic and global partners to maintain service levels and quality standards
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare monthly portfolio presentations for senior leadership
- Troubleshoot operational issues with IT and solutions teams, including connectivity and workflow challenges
- Support budget planning and financial performance review (revenue, expenses, margins) and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Strengthen client relationships, identify upsell or expansion opportunities, and partner closely with Client Success to ensure overall satisfaction
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Prior leadership experience in operations, healthcare, or a similar service environment
- High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to leadership and clients
- Proven ability to lead teams, set goals, and drive accountability and performance
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and measurable results
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while meeting deadlines
- Strong customer-service mindset and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle confidential information in line with HIPAA and company policies
- Willingness to travel as needed
