Schedule
• Full-time, remote (U.S. only)
• Monday–Friday
• Requires reliable phone, internet, and secure home office
• Work involves multiple facility types and coding environments
Responsibilities
• Code outpatient facility chart types including OBS, SDS, ED (I&I required), and ancillary services
• Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes with the highest specificity
• Capture additional surgical revenue when appropriate
• Identify critical care cases based on patient acuity
• Interpret facility, state, and payer coding guidelines
• Ensure accuracy, productivity, and quality goals at or above 95 percent
• Participate in internal training and education
• Maintain daily workflow and documentation
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and clients as needed
• Follow AHIMA’s Standards of Ethical Coding and company compliance policies
Requirements
• Active AAPC (CPC/COC) or AHIMA (CCS/CCS-P) certification
• Minimum 2 years of on-the-job coding experience
• Strong knowledge of EMR and billing systems
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Reliable phone, internet, and current CPT/ICD-10-CM references
• Consistent remote attendance and dependable workflow management
