What You’ll Do
⦁ Provide on-call scheduling support to public transit agencies as needs arise
⦁ Evaluate service data and adjust schedules to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and equity
⦁ Build and update routes, stops, blocks, runcuts, and rosters using scheduling platforms (ex: HASTUS, Trapeze FX, Optibus, Remix)
⦁ Develop runcutting alternatives, evaluate tradeoffs, and recommend preferred options
⦁ Use AVL and APC data to monitor adherence, ridership, and performance metrics, then refine schedules accordingly
⦁ Review public schedules for errors prior to final publication
⦁ Train agency scheduling staff and support scheduling process improvements
⦁ Coordinate with Operations and Customer Service on schedule changes and documentation (policies, SOPs, internal guidance)

What You Need
⦁ Prior experience performing scheduling for one or more public transit agencies
⦁ Hands-on expertise with at least one fixed route scheduling platform (HASTUS, Trapeze FX, Optibus, Remix, or similar)
⦁ Strong understanding of transit scheduling concepts, practices, and procedures
⦁ Solid technical and analytical skills with comfort working from performance data
⦁ Bonus points if you’ve worked with paratransit scheduling tools (Trapeze Pass, GIRO, CTS, Ecolane, Trip Spark, QRyde) or microtransit software
