Schedule:Monday Through Friday From 8am To 5pm Location:It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely. Work location is subject to change based on business needs. Job Description:The Nursing Invoice Processor is responsible for timely collection of subcontracted or independent Nurse invoices and nursing notes.  They will review documents for conditions of payment, scanning notes into the systems and submitting documents to Accounts Payable for payment.  The Nursing Invoice Processor works to ensure the nurse invoice/billing team processes, reconciles, and bills accurately and in a timely manner.  They will work to ensure that the team is efficiently calculating, recording payments and communicating with the nurse(s) or nursing agency to determine problems and/or solutions regarding invoices, in addition to all necessary internal staff towards resolution and payment. The Nursing Invoice Processor performs a variety of duties clerical in nature and requires skill in organization, coordination, and detail.   
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of two (2) years of data entry experience in a healthcare setting requiredStrong knowledge of invoice procedures, a meticulous approach to work, accuracy, time management, teamwork, computer competencies, and confidentialityExperience with medical terminologyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
QUALIFICATION PREFERENCES
Prior experience processing invoices preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates the basic knowledge and judgment to ensure timely and accurate processing of nursing invoices in accordance with established protocols.Read and extract data from invoices to verify information and process invoices for payment.Collects required nursing visit paperwork, performs central data collection to ensure paperwork meets criteria, and approves/submits paperwork for payment processing. Tracking, reviewing, approving and issuing invoices.Investigating slow approvals.Resolve billing errors.Works to reduce the amount of past due or denied invoices.Other work assigned as needed.Performs all duties in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards.
