SUMMARY:
The New Business Development Representative (NBDR) will partner with small to mid-size school districts in their assigned territory. The (NBDR) is responsible for building relationships with new customers via the phone, virtual meeting, and in person using a consultative selling approach. This is a net new business sales role focused on prospecting, lead and network building, developing leads from marketing campaigns, conferences and meeting net new business sales quotas. The NBDR will cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact until you close the deal. The individual utilizes knowledge of the district’s goals, instructional applications, and educational initiatives to help leverage sales and service levels, ensuring that Edmentum solutions fit client needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Meet and or exceed assigned territory quota
• Prospects, emails and make telephone cold calls to potential customers
• Partners with each customer through the sales process to ensure a solution that meets all their needs
• Provides consistent territory coverage based on geography and opportunity
• Communicate with sales partner to ensure a smooth handoff to account management team
• Ability to present our solutions and services via the Internet/virtually, by phone and in person as needed
• Communicates with sales teams, support teams, and sales management
• Maintains and develops skills in the areas of product knowledge, industry knowledge, Edmentum systems, technology, customer relations and selling techniques
• Performs & maintains critical data management responsibilities; record keeping, sales reporting, pipeline management, customer database maintenance, corresponding and communicating pertinent information
• Manages territory through the use of Salesforce.com
• Ability to manage customers at all stages of the sales cycle from identification through sales closure
• Participates in weekly sales/call coaching sessions


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
• 1-3 years of inside sales experience
• Extensive experience working with a CRM system
• Client Relations experience is a plus
• Education and software market knowledge is preferred
• Basic understanding of courseware curriculum solutions
• PC knowledge/experience with an understanding of basic technology components; ability to utilize the PC as a planning and administrative tool
• Excellent consultative skills with customer driven focus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
