The high level:

The Operations Associate (OA) is a new position that is part of Reading Partner’s National Team. The OA’s main role is to support the National Director of Operations and Operations Compliance Manager in the day to day facilitation of the Operation Team’s administrative duties, communications, and programming. The goal of this role is to streamline maintenance of systems so that they are user-friendly, informative, super engaging, and approachable to the Reading Partners Community.

What you’ll do:

Support the Operations Director & Operations Compliance Manager

Monitoring the Operations Teams email inbox and routing/answering requests in a timely fashion.

Acting as notetaker at inter-departmental meetings

Sending communications on behalf of the Operations Department

Maintain the “Library” (RP’s Social and Informational Hub)

Creating and sending the weekly “Tuesday Newsday” newsletter

Encouraging and assisting departments and regions to frequently update their respective library pages

Tracking tasks, requests and progress within the Operation Team’s platforms and projects

Being the point of contact for our emergency communications system),

ContractBook (RP’s new contracts database), and any other platforms adopted by RP and operated by the Operations Department.

Administration of the Operations Team’s wellness initiatives

Administering all communications relating to wellness initiatives

Aid in the creation and adoption of future wellness initiatives

How you’ll do it:

Relationship Management & Communication

Maintain positive relationships with the users of the Operations Team’s platforms and resources

Provide clear communication for the users of Operations Team’s platforms and resources detailed record-keeping skills strong editorial skills

Organization and Attention to Detail

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position. The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $29.00 per hour.

The other things you need to know:

Travel: This position may also involve infrequent travel to Reading Partners’ National Headquarters in Oakland, CA.

Location: This position is remote but requires candidates to reside within one of Reading Partners’ regions and there is a preference for candidates to be within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
