Then mystery shopping maybe for you.  Mystery Shopping is a method that is used by external market research companies to measure the quality of service or to gather specific information about different products or services that are used by the public.  This information helps companies know what is being provided to the customer and how that service or product is perceived. Mystery shopping companies contract with workers who shop, dine or stay incognito and then write up reports about their consumer experiences.

We classify mystery shopping as a side gig or a side hustle.  Although there is ability to make a full-time income per month by doing mystery shopping.  There must be discipline and strategic methods used to do so.  There are many companies who will hire individuals to do mystery shopping.  The sign-up process will involve basically giving your general information to the company and waiting for the company to approve your mystery shopping account.  After you have signed up and been approved you will be able to start performing shops.  There are various ways the shops could be conducted. There are some shops that will require you to purchase products, there are shops that you will rate the service you received.  Also, there are shops that you will have to rate certain items.  There are usually video shops for more experienced mystery shop professionals

After you have a few shops under your belts you may also apply for a Mystery Shop Certification (yes there is such a thing). The governing body is the Mystery Shoppers Providers Association (MSPA). The MSPA’s certification program will train prospective mystery shoppers on two different levels. Members of MSPA companies will give preferences to those shoppers who are o MSPA-certified shoppers when making assignments. When you become a certified mystery shopper you will demonstrate professionalism and you are committed to doing a good job.
