You’ll run point on applications, analyze borrower qualifications, and partner with internal teams to get loans from “interested” to “funded” while staying compliant.

What You’ll Do
- Educate customers on Cardinal’s values, process, and loan operations
- Collect information needed to submit loan applications
- Analyze applicant finances, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility
- Obtain and compile credit histories and other required financial documentation
- Explain loan products, credit options, and terms in clear, customer-friendly language
- Answer follow-up questions and provide strong customer service throughout the loan process
- Review loan agreements for completeness and accuracy under company policy and lending regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of borrower and loan information
- Maintain licenses and compliance by completing required continuing education
- Collaborate with sales, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, and leadership to ensure a smooth borrower experience
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Loan Originator
- Current MLO license (or ability to obtain upon hire) per the SAFE Act
- Willingness to become licensed in multiple states if required
- Solid mortgage foundation and understanding of the loan process
- Strong sales ability with a proven record of results
- Self-motivated, initiative-driven, and able to perform independently
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-focused work style
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to adapt, take direction, and learn quickly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work closely within a team structure
