In this position…
Supporting the implementation of communications plans to support Ford’s Model e Go To Market communications with a focus on dealers and customers, the Dealer Communications Manager will report to the Director of Electric Vehicle Go-to-Market Communications
What you’ll do…
- Supports storytelling of Ford’s Go To Market activities – including major news and responding to media Go To Market and dealer-related inquiries.
- Leads communications integration with the dealer teams and dealer network.
- Executes the communications launch strategy for specific electric vehicle dealer programs.
- Takes the lead on dealer issues management, including media inquiry responses
- Creates alignment on news-making and storytelling timing and content reviews with all key partners – especially with the dealer team and network.
- Support senior leaders with briefing materials for internal and external communications
- Nurtures relationships and drive alignment within the global Communications team involving electric vehicle dealer matters with teams tied to Ford Blue, Lincoln, Model e and Ford Pro business units, Manufacturing, Labor, Legal and Government Affairs.
- Interacts with members of Ford and agency support teams on various projects.
- Partner with key stakeholders including Dealer Relations, Marketing, Investor Relations, Employee Communications on telling our electric vehicle dealer network story for all audiences – including employees, dealers, media and financial analysts.
You’ll have…
- 5+ years of communications and business experience in a complex organization, with a focus on media relations and change management or introducing a new product feature or concept.
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications or similar field
- Strong project manager. Applies discipline and rigor around planning and execution.
- Skilled in media relations; knows how to craft and place stories; responsive, professional and courteous to journalists, even when managing issues.
- Demonstrates the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and cross-functional setting working with colleagues across business units and geographies.
- Proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with attention to detail.
- Skilled writer and editor (including speeches), and presentation developer, with ability to understand technical information.
- Can make decisions independently and organizationally savvy to successfully grow complex relationships

- Master’s Degree in communications or similar field
