What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary liaison between billing operations, customer experience teams, and clinic medical records departments to obtain necessary documentation
- Review and interpret medical records, ensuring compliance with CMS, state, and insurer coverage policies
- Extract and summarize key clinical information supporting medical necessity for insurance claims
- Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC to navigate and retrieve records
- Collaborate across departments to improve revenue cycle efficiency and performance
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews to identify process and quality improvements
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate case documentation
What You Need
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare administration, case management, medical billing/coding, or insurance collections
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, or related field (LPN, RN, BSN, BSHA accepted)
- Knowledge of CMS policies, LCD/NCD coverage criteria, and oncology/organ health terminology
- Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experience navigating EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to communicate complex medical and policy information clearly
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance
