Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Establish, mandate, and implement standard procedures and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
  • Conduct regulatory and contractual research and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
  • Support the collection of data supporting regulatory and contractual obligations, coordinate and develop reports, projects and use assessment tools to verify compliance
  • Conduct Quality Assurance of data and evidence submitted
  • Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
  • Develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution for a business segment across UnitedHealth Group

Required Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree or 3+ equivalent experience
  • Experience interacting & collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (other team members, internal customers, and executives) and be able to provide measurable results without authority
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, monitoring and/or auditing IT general controls for application or platform environments
  • 3+ years of Agile software development, IT operations and logical security risks
  • 3+ years of experience working in an IT Compliance, Risk Management and/ or IT Audit role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in or auditing health related business operations
  • Experience with issuing Service Organization Controls (SOC) reports or is a certified CISA, CISM, CISSP or HITRUST assessor
  • Experience working with Mergers and Acquisitions or Non-Integrated Business Partners
  • Proven desire to make a positive impact with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities
  • Proven ability to navigate and manage ambiguity

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
