This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

The successful candidate will ideally be located in Moline, IL or Chicago, IL. This may be dependent on the successful candidate’s background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities

As a Manager Global Employee Listeningfor John Deere World Headquarterslocated in Moline or Chicago, IL, you will develop and manage execute a global survey program and utilize survey data to tell meaningful stories and make recommendations to improve the overall employee experience. In addition, you will:

  • Understand survey trends and share narratives and recommendations to key stakeholders, CoP’s and senior leadership
  • Maintain critical vendor partnerships
  • Develop and manage global survey program and budget
  • Represent John Deere as the primary representative for the Mayflower Group Survey Consortium

What Skills You Need

  • 10 or more years of experience in an HR discipline, HRIS, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, D&I or related field
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and Data Management Skillsets
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze survey data, interpret results, and derive actionable insights to improve the employee experience and organizational culture
  • Project Management: Proficiency in managing projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey survey goals, results, and recommendations to various stakeholders. Ability to tell a story with data (e.g., presentations, white papers, etc.)
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and foster a culture of open feedback
  • Research Skills: Knowledge of research methodologies and survey design to create effective and meaningful surveys
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with survey tools and data analysis software to manage and analyze survey data efficiently
  • Change Management: Understanding of change management principles to help organizations respond to survey results and implement necessary changes
  • Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to diverse cultures and practices, especially in a global context, to ensure the survey is relevant and inclusive
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues based on survey feedback and develop strategies to address them
  • Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align employee listening initiatives with organizational goals and overall business strategy
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally

  • Experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
  • Significant experience creating storytelling through data and PowerPoint presentations
  • Proven ability to manage large complex global projects including planning, executing, and monitoring progress
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to small and large groups and the ability to interact with all levels of leadership
  • Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders across different levels of the organization, including executives, managers, and employees
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and analyzing employee surveys
  • Previous leadership roles or experience in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving initiatives related to employee listening
  • Experience working in a global environment or with diverse teams to understand cultural nuances in employee feedback and engagement
  • Experience in leading or supporting change initiatives within organizations, particularly those driven by employee feedback
  • Developing and managing results through dashboards and KPI management
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive data and information
  • Work independently with the ability to provide problem- resolution
  • Keen eye for detail and can remain organized through a rapidly changing environment

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology M.A./Ph.D. or related advanced degree preferred
