Leave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator
Job Summary: Are you looking for a role to utilize your customer service and HR skills? This could be the role for you! In this role, you will resolve FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and ADA questions from employees for a large organization based out of Charlotte. You will be working through a high volume of calls and emails throughout the day, monitoring the leaves of absence for multiple employees, and updating managers on the statuses of their employees.

Pay: $20.37/hr

Responsibilities
- Provide support to associates in managing their Short-Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave (FMLA), and American Disability Act (ADA) cases.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of regulations pertaining to FMLA, ADA, STD, and state-specific leave laws.
- Effectively handle high volumes of inbound calls, juggling multiple tasks and priorities amidst frequent interruptions.
- Document call interactions in the leave management system in a clear and organized manner.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between associates and their leave requests.
- Maintain detailed records, documentation, and data related to leaves of absence.
- Review file notes to explain leave processes to associates and their managers.
- Coordinate salaried short-term disability matters with corporate payroll team.
- Compile and submit employee data for compliance with state leave requirements.
- Track and monitor leaves of absence, following up on necessary paperwork such as medical certifications, extended leave requests, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with Unit Managers, Human Resources, and the Benefits Team to keep them updated on employees’ leave statuses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years of experience administering leave of absence
- 3+ years of customer service experience in a call center
- Experience monitoring FMLA with strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements related to leave of absence
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Microsoft Office experience
- Experience with STD, COBRA, and ADA is preferred
- Experience with Source 500 is preferred
