Schedule
• Full-time, remote (U.S. only)
• Monday through Friday
• Independent workflow with ongoing collaboration across teams
• Requires consistent availability during business hours

What You’ll Do
• Perform complex retrospective reviews to identify coding and billing errors
• Analyze findings to uncover root causes and prevent recurring issues
• Complete second-level reviews to ensure compliance and proper reimbursement
• Research coding, compliance, payer rules, and denial issues
• Provide technical feedback and training to internal coding staff
• Identify physician query opportunities and support query development
• Monitor coder accuracy, productivity, and quality benchmarks
• Maintain QA targets: minimum 95 percent accuracy and goal of 10 percent QA review volume
• Resolve coding quality concerns and escalate issues appropriately
• Create and deliver monthly quality reports
• Contribute to system improvements that enhance productivity and accuracy
• Participate in meetings, training, and continuous education
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, AHIMA standards, and internal policies

What You Need
• AHIMA or AAPC coding credential required (RHIA/RHIT may also qualify)
• 5–7 years of inpatient coding and/or auditing experience
• Experience reviewing acute care documentation across multiple patient types
• Strong analytical and written communication skills
• Experience with telecommuting and navigating multiple EMR systems
• Familiarity with APC assignment and hospital outpatient billing
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse clients
• Minimum one year of customer service experience
