- Leads a distributed team of 6 across multiple offices and time zones

What You’ll Do
- Lead & Mentor: Manage and develop a distributed IT team, run performance, and build a strong culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Own IT Operations: Run IT Service Management (ITSM), define and report SLAs/SLOs, and continuously improve support quality and employee experience.
- Drive Compliance: Own IT controls and evidence gathering for HIPAA and SOC2, partner with Compliance/GRC, and interface with auditors.
- Financial & Vendor Management: Manage budget, procurement, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Manage Assets: Oversee full asset lifecycle from purchase to deployment, maintenance, and secure disposal.
- Engineer & Document Processes: Build scalable, auditable IT processes and a strong internal knowledge base.
- Champion Modern Ops: Implement GitOps and ChatOps practices that align with an automation-first engineering culture.
What You Need
- 5+ years in IT leadership with direct people management
- Proven experience in a regulated industry (healthtech/fintech or similar) with hands-on HIPAA + SOC2 knowledge
- Experience managing IT budgets, asset programs, and vendor negotiations
- Strong background in cloud-first environments that don’t rely on Microsoft AD as the primary identity source
- Deep expertise with cloud-native Identity Providers (IdP): identity lifecycle, access control, and app provisioning
- Experience managing mixed OS fleets (macOS + Windows) with modern API-driven MDM/RMM tools
- Experience administering and securing major cloud collaboration suites
- Strong grasp of Zero Trust networking concepts (secure web gateways, client-based private access, etc.)
- Process-minded: able to build scalable, repeatable, auditable systems
