WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh is seeking a self-motivated individual for a full-time Helpdesk Support position to join our team in Arlington, VA. This individual would work in supporting the organization with the maintenance of computer hardware and software, support office users, and other project related work as assigned. This job is best suited for an individual with experience in troubleshooting computer related issues and balancing a wide range of helpdesk support tickets and non-ticket related issues.

*This is a 3-month temporary, full-time position with the possibility to extend to 6-months pending workload.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide IT support to employees and contractors by solving any laptop, VPN, printer, VoIP, network, software, and other issues.
  • Provide technical and multiform support across the company through in-person, over-the-phone, and remote sessions.
  • Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot incoming tickets in a timely manner.
  • Provide timely resolution or escalation on behalf of the customer to the appropriate personnel.
  • Regularly respond in an informative and concise way to services issues and requests.
  • Perform and maintain workstations with new/replaced equipment in an office environment.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain asset inventory.
  • Install and configure computer software, hardware, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Test and document procedures of new technology.
  • Document relevant tasks as an SOP and upload to Fors Marsh’s Knowledge base.
  • Monitor and track logs from desktops, laptops, and networks for review.
  • Run security monitoring software and review logs.
  • Provide security reporting to senior staff.
  • Initiate alerts and troubleshoot security breaches or systems failure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 environments.
  • Experience with ManageEngine Ticketing and Endpoint.
  • Experience with Active Directory and account management.
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Pro, Creative Cloud, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve basic technical issues.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Experience using MDT, PDQ, PowerShell, CMD, and MFA.
  • Knowledge of MacOS, iMacs, MacBooks, iPad, and iPhone.
  • Experience with folder permissions and inheritance.
  • CompTIA or Microsoft Certifications is preferred.
  • Knowledge of remote access, LAN/WAN networking including routers, switches and firewalls is preferred.
  • Ability to work in-office at our Arlington, VA corporate office 4-5 days a week.
  • Ability to work 8:00am – 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm during the work week.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.
  • Applicants will be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet the eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.

Job type: *3-month temporary, full-time position with the possibility to extend to 6-months pending workload.

Hourly Rate: $25-$36 per hour (annualized salary $54,000-$74,000)
