Purpose of position
The IT Administrator performs an essential role in primarily supporting new remote employee onboarding and offboarding, through hardware procurement, hardware maintenance, and other entry-level IT tasks. Mergers and Acquisitions IT integration support, cybersecurity reporting, equipment lifecycle management and end-user help desk support round out this position. As a highly visible role within Definiti, the IT Administrator communicates effectively, demonstrates an organized approach, displays self-motivation, and has strong attention to detail.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of the employee IT onboarding and offboarding process
- Hardware procurement, setup, configuration, and shipping
- Inventory management
- Hardware lifecycle management
- Data destruction
- Acquisition Project Support
- Telephony porting
- End-user Tier 1 Help Desk
- Basic Cybersecurity Reporting
Requirements
Competencies Required
- Entry-level IT knowledge
- Interest in computers and IT
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with others remotely while working productively with limited in-person interaction
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Demonstrate sound judgment when making decisions, and operate with discretion and integrity
- Ability to assess issues as they arise, maintain composure under pressure, and develop thoughtful and appropriate responses
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of IT knowledge to include hands-on experience configuring laptop computers
- Must have a work area with room for several pieces of IT equipment to be stored or used.
