• Full-time
• Remote within approved US states
• Hybrid required if living within 45 minutes of a Charlie Health office
• Not available in: AK, CA, CO, CT, ME, MA, MN, NJ, NY, OR, WA, Washington DC
What You’ll Do
• Process and validate requests for protected health information
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal privacy laws
• Retrieve, verify, and release medical records accurately
• Manage electronic faxes, emails, and inbound calls
• Track request steps and maintain documentation logs
• Review legal authorization forms and handle invalid submissions
• Upload, scan, and file records in the EMR system
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Identify workflow needs and support process improvements
What You Need
• Associate degree or equivalent release-of-information experience
• 1+ year medical records or behavioral health records experience
• Strong confidentiality, accuracy, and documentation skills
• Professional communication and customer service mindset
• Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with cloud tools (Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Salesforce)
• US work authorization; native or bilingual English proficiency
