Schedule
- Training: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CST
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Remote, must reside in Oklahoma
- Schedule may include weekends/holidays depending on business needs
What You’ll Do
- Handle intake calls from members and providers via phone, fax, or EDI.
- Enter and research member information using Aetna systems.
- Screen requests and refer to medical services staff when appropriate.
- Approve services not requiring medical review per benefit plan guidelines.
- Verify eligibility, coordination of benefits, and coverage.
- Place outbound calls to providers for information or authorization updates.
- Support the precertification process and maintain complete documentation.
- Collaborate with Aetna case managers, nurses, and medical directors on member transactions.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED (required); Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience as a medical assistant, office assistant, or similar clinical role.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with multiple systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of call center experience.
- Prior authorization experience.
