Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance on disciplinary actions, performance management, and conflict resolution. Ensure documentation and follow-up are thorough and compliant with legal standards.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the compensation program, conduct salary surveys, and monitor merit increases. Administer employee benefits, handle claims resolution, and regularly evaluate benefit offerings for cost-effectiveness.
- Policy Development: Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures. Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Collaborate with the Shared Services Recruiting COE to ensure effective recruiting strategies that meet the organization’s staffing needs. Implement staffing plans that align with productivity goals.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Conduct internal audits and assessments to maintain legal and regulatory standards.
- Leadership and Development: Lead the HR department by providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to staff. Act as a role model for effective communication, collaboration, and leadership within the organization.
- Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and organizational charts. Provide data analysis and reporting to support HR strategies and business decisions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a closely related field.
- Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a one-to-one basis.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Desired: Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR).
Required Experience:
- Four (4) years of professional experience in Human Resources, including responsibilities in employee relations, policy development, and compliance.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a management or supervisory role, leading HR initiatives and staff.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a healthcare or shared services environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals.
- Familiarity with remote work settings, including managing virtual teams and navigating remote communication challenges.
- Experience with HR metrics, analytics, and using data to drive decisions in a leadership role.
