Healthcare Technical Support Representative – Remote

Responsibilities

We are looking for caring independent contractors for our healthcare program supporting a remote cardiac monitoring diagnostic service provider. In this role, you will identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide advice to product users, including patients and clinical staff, as well as coordinate with other departments to solve technical issues. This is a remote, independent contractor role that provides technical support via phone.

Contractors will be dealing with highly sensitive health information and are subject to HIPAA regulations on each call. Contractors must successfully pass a background check and must live in and work from the United States to represent this client.

Earnings Potential

  • Earn up to $16.80 per hour (Monthly performance-based incentives provide the opportunity to earn an additional $.02 per CIM)
  • Guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes per available hour

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule opportunities you schedule your hours!
  • Client hours of operation are:
    • Monday-Thursday, 5am-3am (closed 3:01am-4:59am)
    • Friday-Sunday 5am to12am.
    • All times listed in Central Time.
  • Day, night, and weekend hours available.

Skills Needed

  • Strong technical skills needed in order to troubleshoot any problems the customer may experience with their device.
  • Above average problem solving skills and critical thinking ability to listen to the problem then use tools and resources to find a solution.
  • Excellent communication skills needed to respond with a sense of urgency and professionalism and be comfortable responding to customer concerns and issues in real time.
  • Strong customer service skills needed to provide a five star customer experience on every call.
  • Multi-tasking skills needed to navigate multiple websites and systems while being available for incoming calls.
  • Empathy – you may be dealing with sensitive health issues

Technology Requirements

  • Personal computer (no tablet)
  • Broadband internet connection, with at least 10 Mbps download speed
  • Wired internet connection, like Cable, Fiber Optic or DSL (no Wi-Fi or mobile internet)
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
  • Valid antivirus software installed, running and up to date
  • Wired USB headset with microphone (Gaming headsets not accepted)
  • Mac users: Mac acceptance is limited to Intel-based machines with Windows 11 installed via Apple’s Boot Camp utility.
  • Monitor size of 18 inches or larger is highly recommended but not required
  • Contractors must have a smart phone, Android tablet or iPad and be willing to install an authentication app related to program work.
