What You’ll Do
• Take inbound calls from patients looking to pay outstanding medical bills and help them set up payment options within client guidelines
• Make outbound calls to patients who have not set up payments and negotiate arrangements within approved guidelines
• Navigate multiple systems while documenting accurate account notes and maintaining confidentiality
• Help obtain and update debtor contact information in client systems
• Work in a virtual team to meet daily productivity goals (calls and dollars collected) and monthly collection targets
• Stay current on collections laws and follow FDCPA and federal requirements at all times
• Maintain a confidential, organized remote workspace
• Follow company policies, code of conduct, and corporate compliance program requirements
• Support additional projects as assigned by management
What You Need
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Collections experience preferred
• At least 6 months of customer service experience
• Strong communication skills and comfort supporting patients by phone and via remote chat
• Professional, courteous approach with patients, coworkers, and leadership
• Ability to stay focused with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
• Solid PC skills and typing speed of 30–40 WPM
• Ability to sit for extended periods in a remote call center setup
