Qualifications

What you bring to the Virgin Pulse team

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in fields related to health coach role preferred, including: nurse line, disease management, etc.  
  • 2-4 years’ experience with individual behavior change management, motivational interviewing, and health coaching.  
  • Current RN license within a compact nursing state. (highly preferred)
  • Reside in a state that supports the nurse license compact. (highly preferred)

You also take pride in offering the following Core Skills, Competencies, and Characteristics:

  • Comfortable working with a diverse participant population and navigating complex cases.
  • Familiarity with digital health apps, comfortable with technology and web-based software tools as well as delivering health coaching by use of software/technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot with technology.
  • Proficiency in PC-based word processing and database documentation (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook).
  • Specialized training or experience in diabetes, heart health, lung health, digestive health, chronic pain, and/or additional training in maternal and child care is highly desirable.

Requirements for Availability of part-time role and training:  

  • This is a scheduled part-time casual position. Hours can flex up and down based on business needs and availability.  
  • Must be able to provide availability for up to six weeks out to provide part-time availability of at least 24 hours. 
  • Scheduled shifts must be in blocks of a minimum of four hours. 
  • Must be available to work Wednesday’s and Thursdays for attendance to weekly meetings and training sessions.
  • Candidates should be able to attend full-time to training for first two weeks of employment.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 – $33.00 per hour.  Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
