Position Summary
The Health Advocate within the Healthy Outcomes Team conducts outreaches to our Medicare members to inspire and encourage healthy behaviors through innovative, compassionate and empathetic telephonic communications. The goal of each outreach is to ensure that every member has a clear understanding of the available benefits that are afforded to them under their Medicare plan for specific screenings and medications. The Health Advocate facilitates Provider, Pharmacy and Member outreaches telephonically to ensure Medicare member receipt of important s
-Through motivational interviewing and the use of various tools, uses knowledge and experience to assist members with Medication Adherence.
-Utilizes influencing/motivational interviewing skills to ensure member engagement and discern health needs based on key questions and conversation to promote behavior changes to achieve optimum level of health
Assist members in meeting goals and objectives to medication adherence
- Utilize interviewing and active listening skills, provides information and support to empower the member to make ongoing independent healthy healthcare choices.

Required Qualifications
- Windows based application knowledge with ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications with a high degree of computer literacy.
- Effective communication skills and experience speaking
with medical providers and/or clinical staff. - Strong listening and interpersonal skills; skilled at developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Strong analytical skills focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate situations.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion and listening skills.
- Ability to apply creative thinking skills when needed to solve members’ concerns and have a desire to advocate for them.

Preferred Qualifications
- Recent and related experience working with Medication Adherence , behavior change.
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates heavily preferred.
- Medical certification (certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, etc.) is strongly recommended but not required.
- Prior experience working directly with members / consumers – preferably in a call center setting.
- Minimum 3 years recent and related experience within healthcare, healthcare marketing, outreach and/or health education, health coaching and disease management experience required.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting with direct communication with various levels of management including medical providers required.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 – $29.30
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
