Position Summary

Under limited supervision, the Fundraising Academy trainer acts as a Subject Matter Expert on fundraising and philanthropy. The trainer leads educational trainings, supports instructor and student recruitment, leads train-the-trainers and special projects, and collaborates on product and curriculum development and program enhancement. This role represents Fundraising Academy in the field and supports business development goals as a Cause Selling subject matter expert.

Essential Functions:

Conducts professional development trainings for nonprofit leaders and Train the Trainer collaboration for FA affiliates.
Delivers curriculum and product development in the areas of fundraising, cause selling and philanthropy professional development.
Customizes implementation plan and training to establish strong relationships with FA partners
Coaches using a range of strategies to build confidence and competency in each trainer, including working with evaluators and other coaches to build a community of practice.
Revises existing FA curriculum and creates new curriculum in partnership with FA main office.
Networks with FA University prospects to secure meetings for FA leadership in new markets.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, required; Master’s degree, preferred, but not required
Three (3) to six (6) years’ relevant coaching, consulting or training experience in the non-profit sector, required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project Management experience desirable.

Strong familiarity and proven success in nonprofit development, fundraising, and philanthropy.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community making a positive impression in public forums. Ability to communicate competently orally and in writing, including public speaking, desirable.
Advanced use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and enterprise resource planning application software to generate well-formulated business reports.
Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures and across the organization at all levels, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
Travel: Up to 75% travel required.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position.
