Charlie Health provides virtual intensive outpatient (vIOP) mental health programs for people navigating complex mental health, substance use, and eating disorders. Their model blends clinical treatment with experiential, contemplative, and creative practices so clients can access meaningful, whole-person care from home. The focus is on connection, depth of care, and better outcomes for clients who have often been failed by traditional systems.
Schedule
- Remote 1099 contractor role
- Minimum 9 hours per week
- Must have availability at least two evenings per week from 3 pm to 9 pm MST, Monday through Thursday
- Group sessions are held in the evenings to match client schedules
- You will facilitate groups via secure telehealth platforms from a private, confidential space
- Note: This role is not available to candidates in Illinois
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate weekly experiential psychoeducation groups via telehealth for children, teens, young adults, and adults
- Use expressive, hands-on, and immersive approaches to help clients explore emotions, practice coping skills, and reframe experiences
- Integrate your primary experiential modality into treatment, such as adventure therapy, recreation-based work, expressive or creative therapies, narrative work, play-based practice, psychodrama, sociometry, or somatic approaches
- Develop creative ways to adapt experiential practices to a virtual environment
- Submit weekly group session plans and support curriculum development for the Experiential Groups Department
- Participate in treatment team meetings, group supervision, and curriculum planning
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, families, staff, and referral partners
- Maintain appropriate boundaries, confidentiality, and risk management in all group work
- Complete timely, accurate, and well written documentation in the EMR
What You Need
- Master’s degree in mental health or a related field
- Licensed mental health professional preferred
- Experience working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults
- Specific training and experience in at least one experiential modality such as adventure, experiential, expressive, recreation, narrative, play therapy, psychodrama, sociometry, or similar fields
- Comfort facilitating group sessions virtually and engaging clients over video
- Technical ability and reliable WiFi to run consistent telehealth sessions
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn cloud based tools such as Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, EMR, and outcomes survey platforms
- Work authorization in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
- Ability to show up consistently, manage risk thoughtfully, and practice strong self care in high acuity work
