About the Role

SaaS Academy is seeking a dynamic Events Community Specialist to oversee and expand our partner and speaker programs across live and virtual events. This role is instrumental in driving the success of our events by managing partner relations, building and executing a comprehensive speaker program, and ensuring seamless collaboration with internal teams. You will be the primary point of contact for partners and speakers, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction, and ultimately contributing to the growth and success of SaaS Academy. As the Events Community Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing community engagement strategies that meet both partner and speaker needs, aligning them with the company’s goals, and supporting our events team.

Here are the primary responsibilities of the Events Community Specialist role:

Responsibilities & Success Metrics

  1. Manage Partner Program: Oversee all aspects of the partner program, including program partners, event partners, and identifying new opportunities for growth. Manage partner engagement, ensure they achieve their return on investment (ROI) goals, and lead renewal efforts to maintain a strong partner community.
    1. Success Metric: Fill partner categories and meet partner program revenue targets for both new partnerships and renewals.
  2. Develop and Manage Speaker Program: Create and implement an end-to-end strategy for a speaker program that includes sourcing, coordinating, and managing guest speakers for live and virtual events. Collaborate with the Program and Content teams to plan speaker sessions and manage all related logistics.
    1. Success Metric: Ensure all speaker spots are filled 60 days before events.
  3. PR and On-Site Management: Work closely with the marketing and media teams to develop public relations strategies for both partner and speaker programs, ensuring that the messaging and delivery is on-point. Serve as the primary on-site contact during live events, ensuring that partners and speakers have a seamless experience.
    1. Success Metric: Effective execution of PR strategies, positive feedback from partners and speakers during events, and increased inbound interest from speakers and partners seeking to collaborate with us.

Experience and Qualifications

Required

  • Proven experience in community building and engagement
  • 3+ years in communications and/or public relations experience
  • At a minimum, experience in event coordination

Preferred

  • Experience in the SaaS industry
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work cross-departmentally
