Schedule
• Full-time, remote within the U.S.
• Standard Monday–Friday schedule
• Must maintain reliable internet, phone, and a secure home workspace
Responsibilities
• Code Emergency Department facility encounters with injections and infusions (I/I)
• Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes with precision and full compliance
• Calculate facility E/M levels using CorroHealth’s internal algorithm
• Recognize and code critical care encounters based on patient acuity
• Identify ER-related surgical procedures to support complete revenue capture
• Evaluate documentation and assign codes to the highest specificity
• Follow official guidelines and AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding
• Maintain productivity and accuracy of at least 95 percent
• Participate in required training and stay current with coding updates
• Safeguard PHI and adhere to all privacy and security rules
• Support additional departmental duties as needed
Requirements
• Active certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)
• Minimum 6 months of professional coding experience
• Solid working knowledge of EMRs and billing platforms
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to manage deadlines and make accurate coding decisions
• Phone access, dependable internet connection, and current CPT/ICD-10-CM references
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, detail-driven, and able to work independently
