Summary of Job Duties:
The Site Coordinator for UAMS APWP-Pathways Academy will be a dedicated, responsible, and enthusiastic professional to work part-time throughout the summer and academic year. The Pathways Academy Site Coordinator will function as a liaison between the UAMS Pathways Academy Leadership team and assigned site. They will facilitate and implement STEM-H curriculum and activities for Pathways Academy Scholars throughout the academic year and summer months.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, community engagement or related field
- Three (3) years of experience coordinating education programs in K-12 education, community engagement and outreach, and/or project management
- Valid drivers’ license required with current automobile insurance and reliable car for moderate travel to surrounding communities
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Additional Information:
Key Responsibilities:
- AMS Pathways Academy operations in respective site
- Coordinate with the Education Coordinator to help develop curriculum for students
- Deliver educational content via a learning management system, email, mail, video conference, and/or verbal communication.
Program Coordination:
- Plan and schedule program sessions and events, including summer intensive camp and academic year.
- Assist in the development of the APWP-Pathways Academy virtual or in person curriculum and a final program report that includes a quantitative and qualitative evaluation of student and program performance.
- Lead recruitment efforts and meet recruitment goals in their respective site by working closely with the Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator to assist with recruitment process and outreach efforts, the application process, and collecting documentation.
- Teach K-12 scholars during monthly/summer intensive camps
- Collect data on the program and ensure compliance with program regulations.
- Coordinate with the Pathways Academy Parent Engagement Coordinator to establish communication and maintain relationships with students, advocates, and the community
Instructional Staff Management:
- Manage site instructional staff including hiring and supervising staff in respective site to ensure adequate staffing for student program enrollment
- Model and encourage collegiality through enthusiastic and positive rapport with all students, advocates, UAMS Pathways Academy Leadership, and community stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned:
- Some in-state travel may be required to attend mandatory professional development and to establish communication and maintain relationships with students, advocates, and the community.
