Schedule
- Full time, remote position (Nationwide U.S.A.)
- Work shift aligned to Eastern Time zone
- Regular collaboration with Client Services, Coding, and Executive leadership
- Occasional virtual and live presentations to executive stakeholders and clients
What You’ll Do
⦁ Oversee the Provider Education team for emergency and hospital based physicians, including recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management
⦁ Lead day to day operations of the Physician Education department, ensuring high quality, compliant education and support for all assigned clients
⦁ Partner with Client Services and Coding teams to identify documentation needs and develop targeted education that improves accuracy and reimbursement
⦁ Present documentation related updates, trends, and recommendations to the Executive Team and key clients in a clear, professional way
⦁ Use healthcare data and documentation trends to spot recurring issues, recommend front end fixes, and drive continuous process improvement
⦁ Maintain required documentation, reports, and education materials to support clients, internal teams, and leadership
⦁ Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned to support client success and organizational goals
What You Need
⦁ High school diploma or GED required; degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field preferred
⦁ Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required; compliance certification preferred
⦁ At least 5 years of physician and or hospital medical coding related experience preferred
⦁ At least 2 years of supervisory, management, or leadership experience preferred
⦁ Strong working knowledge of medical record documentation requirements, medical terminology, and anatomy
⦁ Understanding of business and financial processes related to coding, documentation, and revenue cycle
⦁ Proven leadership and team building skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold staff accountable
⦁ Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt style for executives, clients, and internal teams
⦁ Strong healthcare data analysis, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills
⦁ Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and database software
⦁ Ability to build and maintain professional relationships, see patterns in recurring issues, and drive solutions at the front end
