What You’ll Do

⦁ Lead, mentor, and coach a team of seven Proposal Writers plus a Past Performance and Training Manager, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment

⦁ Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to raise proposal writing quality and consistency across the organization

⦁ Allocate proposal writing resources in coordination with the VP of Proposal Operations and the broader Proposal Operations Leadership Team

⦁ Support proposal staffing strategies to align with business development priorities and bid volume

⦁ Partner with leadership to refine and improve proposal processes, tools, templates, and best practices

⦁ Develop and deliver training to ensure consistent application of writing standards and proposal methodology

⦁ Serve as a working lead by writing and editing technical, management, and past performance sections for Federal solicitations

⦁ Collaborate closely with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and SMEs to develop compliant, compelling content aligned with RFP/RFQ requirements

⦁ Integrate key themes and discriminators to strengthen competitiveness and clearly communicate value to government evaluators

⦁ Participate in color team reviews and ensure each section meets compliance, clarity, and quality standards

What You Need

⦁ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent additional experience in lieu of degree)

⦁ 10+ years of Federal Government proposal writing experience

⦁ Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and developing proposal professionals

⦁ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams

⦁ Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple bids and deadlines

⦁ Experience developing annotated outlines, storyboards, and draft responses for Federal solicitations

⦁ Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours and travel as required (up to 25%)

⦁ Preferred: APMP or equivalent proposal management certification and familiarity with AI-based tools for drafting and content development
