Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Functional Safety Processes: Lead the development and implementation of functional safety processes tailored to automotive product development. This includes hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety goal definition, and safety requirements specification.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with automotive functional safety standards, particularly ISO 26262. Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and standards related to automotive functional safety and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Safety Analysis: Conduct safety analyses such as Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis), and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Safety Requirements Engineering: Define and manage safety requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure that safety requirements are correctly allocated to the appropriate owners of system, hardware, and software components based on the company’s role in the automotive supply chain.
