What You’ll Do
- Develop creative, newsworthy ideas and pitch angles for journalists and bloggers
- Build media lists across multiple industries (B2B and B2C)
- Partner with content marketing to create proprietary data and survey-driven stories
- Pitch content to earn coverage and increase visibility for clients
- Monitor the news and proactively pitch timely stories
- Write strong leads and outreach that gets opened and replied to
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters, writers, and editors
- Validate sources and use the most recent, most relevant data available
- Manage multiple campaigns at once without dropping quality
What You Need
- 3–5 years of PR experience (agency or similar environment), ideally for major U.S. brands
- Experience running surveys and turning results into media-ready stories
- Strong media relations, email outreach, and pitching skills
- Excellent project management and prioritization
- Near-perfect grammar and strong editing instincts
- Ability to work independently and hit deadlines in a remote setup
- Bonus: familiarity with SEO and media tools like Muck Rack or Cision
