What You’ll Do
- Monitor and resolve claim denials across registration, eligibility, coding, billing, and medical necessity
- Analyze denial trends and root causes using EHRs and analytics tools; deliver clear reports and recommendations
- Collaborate with HIM, billing, case management, and payer relations to reduce revenue leakage
- Navigate Epic, Cerner, Meditech, 3M, Optum, SSI, Availity, and payer portals to extract and validate data
- Prepare, submit, and track timely, well-documented appeals; present metrics and recovery results
- Stay current on payer policies, CMS updates, and regulatory changes impacting adjudication
What You Need
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in HIM/Health Admin or related field
- 3–5 years in revenue cycle with a focus on denials management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office, EHRs, claims editing, and analytics tools
- Strong grasp of EOBs, RAs, payer policies; sharp analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Bonus: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC; familiarity with DRG/APC; working knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS
