The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is currently focused on bringing new learners to the site, connecting students to degree programs, attracting new enterprise customers — including  businesses, governments, and campuses —  and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives.

As a Degree Marketing Associate, you will partner with Degree Marketing Managers to manage the operational aspect of successful recruitment cycles and achieve cohort goals for our certificate and degree programs, while building the future success of the programs. With guidance from the Manager/Director of Degree Marketing in North America, you’ll build, manage and communicate the program value propositions through a comprehensive operational plan to reach potential students, nurture qualified leads through the consideration cycle to the point of application submission and enrollment, and coordinate with marketing departments at our partner universities.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Degree Marketing Managers to drive the marketing and recruitment strategy for a portfolio of degree and MasterTrack programs
  • Develop and manage an operational plan for your assigned programs – ensuring all email sends, promo units, etc, are deployed on schedule 
  • Track and report on marketing metrics internally, prep for sharing externally and suggest improvements
  • Work with Coursera creative team to create visual assets and support the maintenance of image asset folders and finalize image asset guidelines across your assigned degree and MasterTrack programs
  • Write copy and gain approval for email nurture series, promotional emails, content marketing blogs, onsite descriptions, paid promotions and more
  • Work with cross-functional marketing team members (PR, SEO, paid marketing, social media, etc) to support new degree learner acquisition

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of marketing experience for high consideration products
  • Experience with Email operational planning, copy development, tools and execution
  • Experience analyzing key metrics and crafting tactics or strategies based on the analysis 
  • Demonstrated history of managing multiple projects successfully and hitting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing experience for Higher Education, B2B or high consideration consumer products
  • Hands-on experience using email marketing tools, such as SFMC
  • Experience with web analytics tools, paid promotion platforms, marketing automation technology and others
  • Background in developing marketing campaigns and turning results into actionable learnings
  • Knowledge of HTML and comfort with SQL queries, as well as willingness to learn
  • Experience working in partner-facing environments (i.e. client-facing)

Compensation:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between 73,000 and 96,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
