Schedule
- Full-time, remote position
- Must reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI
- Standard office hours with steady inbound and outbound call volume
- Office-style work from home with significant time spent on the phone and computer
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls/callbacks on first payment default accounts and document each account accurately
- Research first pay defaults using tools like Decision Lender, Rubex, TLO, and online resources to find contact information
- Identify potential risk or dealer issues and route disputed accounts to the appropriate teams
- Process over-the-phone payments, answer routine account questions, and guide customers on using the online portal, IVR, and other tools
- Clearly explain interest, statements, and account details to customers
- Offer hardship relief options in line with company policies and practices
- Support overflow calls related to disputes, recovery, first pay, and bankruptcy as needed
- Aim for one-call resolution by using company resources effectively
- Assist with administrative tasks including reports, emails, and occasional in-office assignments
- Support new hire training by allowing shadowing, providing coaching, and reporting progress to management
What You Need
- Associate’s degree in business, finance, communication, marketing, or related field; 2 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, internet, email, and overall Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay accurate under deadlines
- Clear, professional communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Reliable, positive, “can-do” attitude with good judgment and a desire to help the organization succeed
