Schedule
- Position type: Full time, remote
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST
- Work setting: 100 percent work from home
- Location requirement: Must live in one of the following states
- Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or West Virginia
- Home office
- Quiet, distraction free workspace
- Desk, chair, and basic office setup
- Personal high speed internet with wired ethernet connection (Wi Fi not acceptable)
- Minimum internet speed: 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to support current and prospective clients.
- Provide clear, accurate information about services and the Social Security benefits process.
- Collect and enter client information into internal systems while on the call.
- Handle questions, concerns, and complaints with a calm, service focused mindset.
- Escalate complex issues to specialists or appropriate staff when needed.
- Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, interactions, and outcomes.
- Follow scripts and company guidelines while still bringing warmth and professionalism to each call.
- Support the team with related administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least two years of telephone customer service or call center experience
- Prior phone based role required
- Auto dialer experience highly preferred
- Experience with data entry and computer based work
Skills and Qualifications
- Able to talk on the phone and type at the same time
- Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute (typing test required)
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills with active listening
- Service oriented mindset and steady temperament when resolving grievances
- Proficient with computers and able to learn new software quickly
- Comfortable sitting for long periods and handling a steady call volume
- Reliable, consistent attendance and time management
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
