The Spec, Credit Risk Support will assist Freedom Mortgage Credit Risk Department in various tasks. Will work closely with the Credit Manager to maintain and uphold FMC credit policies and objectives.
Must be able to work 8am – 5pm PST / 10am – 7pm CST / 11am – 8pm EST
Essential Job Functions may include:
- Complete the daily UDM report and send to all appropriate staff. Escalate any critical loans (final approval or after) and follow through to resolution. Manage the UDM email box including response to all inquiries and requests.
- Order all CDA requests received in the CDA email box. Manage responses; Determination of next steps through waterfall process based on results, additional product requirements, and appropriate communication to the involved parties.
- Complete all VA QX report requests on a daily basis utilizing the VA Portal and LenderX websites. Upload report to EDMS or to the V drive and communicate completion to Underwriter.
- Provide assistance to the Insuring Dept. interpreting, locating and obtaining underwriting conditions required by various MI companies. Contact clients as needed to secure additional required items.
- Research, resolve and validate individual loan errors identified through Delivery and Data reporting. Analyze pertinent information, determine cause and provide recommendation for resolution.
- Meeting or exceeding the performance goals and standards established by management.
- Special Projects/additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports.

Education and/or Experience:
- Three (3) years of related mortgage credit guidelines, policies and procedures.
Language Skills:
Individual must have the ability to read and interpret borrower documentation, company policies, procedures, guidelines, reports and legal documents.
Mathematical Skills:
Candidate must be able to use a calculator. Also have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. In addition have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability:
Individual must have the ability to define problems, collect pertinent information, determine the facts, and draw valid conclusions.
